The Revelation Behind Royal Choice
The inspiration for the Royal Choice Collection came during a deeply personal season of prayer and fasting. During that time, my church and I were on an extended fast, and I was also spending time studying the Book of Esther. As I sought God and reflected on Esther’s journey of faith, courage, prayer, and favour, the Holy Spirit gave me a personal revelation that inspired both the name and the vision for this collection. That is where the name Royal Choice was born.
Queen Esther did not receive favour by chance. Before she stood before the king, she called for a three-day fast.
“Go, gather together all the Jews… and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do…”
Esther 4 : 16
The Bible tells us that Esther called the people to fast before approaching the king. It does not explain exactly how she came to that decision, but it does show that she chose to seek God before taking action. As one of God’s people, Esther trusted Him and turned to Him in a time of great need.
Today, as believers, God still leads His people. Sometimes He speaks through His Word. Sometimes He prompts our hearts by His Spirit. Sometimes He leads us into a personal season of prayer and fasting, and sometimes through a corporate fast with our church. Whatever the situation, the principle remains the same: when God leads us, our response is to trust Him and obey.
Esther, Mordecai, and the Jewish people humbled themselves before God through prayer and fasting. Their obedience prepared the way for God’s intervention.
Then, after the fast, Esther did not remain waiting in fear. She acted with courage.
“On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace… When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold sceptre.”
Esther 5 : 1–2
This is the revelation that inspired Royal Choice.
Prayer prepares us.
Fasting transforms us.
Obedience positions us.
Faith moves us to action.
Esther did not stop after praying and fasting. She put on her royal robes, stepped into her purpose, and trusted God with the outcome. Through her faith, obedience, and courage, God brought deliverance to His people and turned what had been planned for evil into victory.
Above all, Esther’s story reminds us of the importance of seeking God’s counsel before making life’s decisions. Whether big or small, every decision should begin in God’s presence. Before we move, we should pray. Before we decide, we should seek His wisdom. Before we act, we should ask for His direction.
As believers, we are called to put God at the centre of everything we do. When we invite Him into our decisions, we open our hearts to His wisdom, His timing, and His purpose. Too often, we make plans on our own and only turn to God when things don’t go as we expected. Esther chose a different path. Before she took one of the most important steps of her life, she sought God through prayer and fasting.
Her story reminds us that God’s guidance should always come before our actions. When we seek Him first, we position ourselves to walk in His will, trust His timing, and experience His favour according to His purpose.
This revelation is also deeply personal to me. During my own season of prayer and fasting, while studying the Book of Esther, God placed the vision for this collection in my heart. As I sought Him, He revealed the name Royal Choice and gave me a deeper understanding of the message and purpose behind this collection. This collection is a testimony that creativity can be birthed in God’s presence and that when we surrender our gifts to Him, He gives vision, direction, and purpose.
Royal Choice is more than a fashion collection. It is a testimony that true elegance begins in God’s presence. Prayer prepares us. Fasting transforms us. Obedience positions us. Faith moves us to action. And when we choose to seek God’s counsel first, He faithfully leads us into His purpose, His favour, and His perfect will.
